Ride the Atlantic. Sleep by the sea.
01
The challenge
Maré was fully booked every summer and almost empty the rest of the year. Most guests arrived through big booking platforms that took a hefty commission and flattened the brand into one more listing with a pool photo.
02
The approach
We rebuilt the story around the coast itself: tide-aware lesson times, honest room photography and a booking flow that bundles lessons, boards and beds in three taps. The palette was lifted straight from Ericeira's sunsets, and the copy sounds the way the instructors talk.
03
The outcome
Direct bookings overtook the platforms within a single season, and the winter surf camps now sell out before the first big swell arrives.
Results
- direct bookings in the first season
- +184%
- bounce rate on mobile
- −38%
- average page load
- 1.2s
Built for the thumb, not just the desktop
Every layout was designed mobile first, then stretched to the big screen, so the experience holds up wherever people find it.
Palette
One confident signature color, supported by quiet tints so the content always leads.

Nico understood our vibe before we could put it into words. Within one season, bookings through our own site overtook every platform we used to rely on.
